Justification

The Ph.D. program consolidates our long experience in the formation of professionals in the bioethical field. This Ph.D. seeks to extend and develop the knowledge for solving interdisciplinary problems and offers the students the tools necessary to enable them as researchers in the bioethics field. It also intends to arouse a reflexive spirit in the students, aiming to achieve personal autonomy, within a framework of freedom of thought and pluralism, which bears in mind the different knowledges and the particularities of cultural forms existing in Colombia and in the contemporary society. This program promotes the creation and development of bioethical knowledge, according to the Colombian necessities, fact that makes it a scientific, cultural, economic, political and ethical development factor, both nationally and regionally.
